System Configurations
ReddiNet® is currently available in three basic configurations:
Independent
Secure Network
Wireless
radio technology provides a totally private and
secure network, impervious to computer viruses,
worms and hacking
attacks and unaffected by interruptions to phone
service or Internet access. The system is "on" all of
the time and is subject to continual real-time
testing of operational status. Additional authorized
users can
view system status and data over the Internet.
Low-Cost Wide Area Network
This Internet-only version of ReddiNet is ideal for
communities that seek the operational benefits
of the ReddiNet system at a reduced cost.
Each facility is supplied
with a dedicated ReddiNet computer that has
been customized so that it can only be used
for accessing ReddiNet. Licensees
of the Low-Cost Wide Area Network can upgrade
to the ReddiNet Fault Tolerant Network with
no penalty and
no need for retraining.
Fault Tolerant Network
This configuration combines the flexibility and extensibility
of web-based communications with the security and stability
of wireless radio. The Internet and packet radio channels
operate in parallel so that no one failure can shut down
ReddiNet. All authorized users, regardless of their connection
channel, have access to their system's data and
reports.
